Mr. Mashfiqul Haque Khan, another Partner of the firm, started his carrier as an Associate Barrister in The Law Associates under the guidance of country's most prominent lawyers namely M. Amir-Ul Islam, Barrister-at-Law and Tania Amir, Barrister-at-Law and has obtained specialised skills in conducting Writ matters under Constitution Law and Public Interest Litigation.
With his strong passion and immense appeal towards the corporate arena, he joined Lee, Khan & Partners, one of the largest and specialized law firms in Bangladesh dealing with company and corporate matters and continued gaining experience in handling Supreme Court and District Court litigation along with legal matters in corporate finance, lease finance, general banking, commercial, employment, labour issues and real estate sectors. Mr. Khan also conducted cases on various complicated legal issues on behalf of various banking and financial institutions in the High Court Division which have been reported in various law reports in Bangladesh.
After dissolution of the law firm, Lee, Khan & Partners, Mr. Khan continued in boosting his skills with Grameenphone IT Limited wherein he represented the Company in legal matters protecting and ensuring the interest of the Company including the Intellectual Property Rights with external stakeholders like, Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC), Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS). He also worked in revising the Company's VAT, IRC, ERC registration and for obtaining the Trademark logo registration of Grameenphone IT Limited. Mr. Khan was also responsible to vet and draft various legal agreements such as Confidentiality Agreement, Consultancy Support Agreement, MOU, Non Disclosure Agreement, Ownership Transfer Agreement, Letter of Intent, Partnership Agreements, Bank guarantee/Tender guarantee and other relevant documents for the Company.
Currently, Mr. Khan is responsible for the litigation matters in the High Court Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, District Courts and other tribunals and labour court matters. He is also representing and assisting the clients interested to settle their respective flagged issues through the mode of ADR.
Mr. Khan is in particular implementing the experienced knowledge in the real estate matters by verification and drafting of various documents and providing opinion relating to land and other immovable properties, including sale and transfer of property, creation and redemption of mortgages, verifying property documents with the concerned government offices. He also assists the firm in drafting various loan, lease and security documentations, issuing of various legal notices & sending replies and provides legal opinion of various natures based on client's request on company, banking and commercial matters.
